What "Verified Specialist" Actually Means
Every 행정사 on this platform has been reviewed before going live. Here is exactly what we check, what a 행정사 is, and what you can expect when you book.
What is a 행정사 (haengjeongsa)?
A 행정사 is a licensed Korean administrative agent — a government-regulated profession under the Administrative Agent Act (행정사법). They are authorised to prepare, submit, and represent clients in applications to Korean government agencies, including the Korea Immigration Service (KIS) and Ministry of Justice (MOJ).
In Korean immigration, 행정사 are the primary licensed professionals for visa and residence permit work. They are distinct from lawyers (변호사), who handle court proceedings but are not specialised in immigration administration. For most visa applications, a 행정사 with immigration experience is exactly what you need.
Licenses are issued after passing the national 행정사 examination and are registered with the Korean Bar Association (대한행정사회). Practicing without a license is illegal under Korean law.
What a verified specialist can do for you
- Assess your visa eligibility before you invest time and money in a full application
- Prepare and review all required documents to meet KIS standards
- Submit applications through the correct channel (consulate, HiKorea, employer sponsorship)
- Handle status changes, extensions, and re-entry permit requests
- Respond to immigration inquiries and supplementary document requests on your behalf
- Advise on pathways to F-2, F-5, or other long-term residency statuses
Our vetting process
Before any specialist can take bookings on Mr. Visa Korea, they go through a four-step review.
License verification
We confirm each applicant holds a valid 행정사 license issued by the Korean Bar Association (대한행정사회). License numbers are cross-checked against the official registry.
Experience review
We require at least 2 years of direct Korean immigration practice. Specialists must document the visa categories they handle most and provide case volume estimates.
Language assessment
We evaluate each specialist's ability to communicate in the languages they list. A specialist who says they work in English will be tested in English before approval.
Ongoing accountability
Specialists can be flagged or suspended for inaccurate advice, missed consultations, or repeated client complaints. Verification is not a one-time badge.
What verification does not mean
Verification confirms credentials and experience — it does not guarantee a specific outcome for your visa application. Immigration decisions are made by Korean government authorities, not by the platform or specialist. Results depend on your individual circumstances.
Frequently asked questions
Can I see a specialist's license number?
Yes. License numbers appear on each specialist's profile page. You can verify them independently at the Korean Bar Association website (haengsa.org).
Are the specialists employees of Mr. Visa Korea?
No. Specialists are independent licensed professionals. Mr. Visa Korea is a platform that connects you with them. They set their own rates and manage their own practice.
What if I have a problem with a specialist?
Contact us through the inquiry form. We take complaints seriously — repeated issues lead to specialist suspension. We can also help you understand your options if something goes wrong.
Do you verify specialists for every language they list?
Yes. We conduct a basic language assessment before approving each language a specialist lists on their profile. If a specialist claims to work in Japanese, they should be able to do so fluently.
